Project Overview:

The Lincoln Academy is a K4-12 tuition-free public charter school founded on three pillars of success: Rigorous Academics, Career Exploration and Character Education. The 120,000 sq. ft., state-of-the-art facility went from concept to completion in just 18 short months. As part of the Design Build MEP team, Morse Electric not only completed the engineering and installation of the electrical service and branch wiring, but also coordinated, engineered, and manged multiple low voltage systems in order to provide a complete turnkey building infrastructure solution.

Project Description:

Morse Electric’s scope of work for this design build project included:

  • Demolition of the old Kohls building
  • Relocation of underground utilities
  • Site prep for the new building
  • Engineered and installed the electrical system and branch wiring
  • 2000 Amp 480/277 volt electrical service
  • 200 kW generator to support critical and life safety power circuits
  • Communication, life safety, building access, and camera systems
