AVAILABLE POSITIONS WITH THE MORSE GROUP

Controls engineers are responsible for designing, developing, installing, and managing and maintaining control software for automated machines and processes.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Specify and design the control systems for various automated and semi-automated machines. Develop and validate modular, well-documented code required to implement the same.
  • Test, maintain and modify new and existing systems.
  • Control Panel design, product selection and check out.
  • Define, develop and implement programs (ladder logic) for programmable logic controllers (PLC) primarily from Rockwell.
  • HMI application and screen development and implementation.
  • Testing and on-site commissioning and qualification of control systems including support of process control clients.
  • Determine the proper analytical system integration solution for the application – as defined by the project quotation, budget, customer specifications, customer data sheets.
  • System start-up and support.
  • Development of operation and maintenance manuals.
  • Provide support to project management, materials personnel, and craftsman throughout the phases of each project assigned and finalize design documentation to represent “as built” condition.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors or four-year degree equivalent in Engineering or 5 years of related experience.
  • Bachelor of Electrical or mechanical engineering is preferred.
  • Ability to apply sound engineering solutions while considering budget, schedule, and operational performance.
  • Ability to read process diagrams, mechanical drawings, and electrical schematics.
  • An understanding of how things work mechanically and electrically as well as the ability to learn new manufacturing processes.
  • Computer proficient with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
  • AutoCAD, HMI, PLC, SCADA experience preferred.
  • Understanding of the National Electric Code and UL 508A.
  • Must possess excellent analytical, organizational, verbal, written and communication skills.
  • Ability to apply sound engineering solutions while considering budget, schedule, and operational performance.
  • Ability to read process diagrams, mechanical drawings, and electrical schematics.

Project Managers are responsible for pricing, negotiating, and managing projects within the standards of The Morse Group and its subsidiaries. Project Manager’s will develop a project execution plan for projects.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Create and maintain effective relationships with customers, vendors, general contractors, architects, subcontractors, partners, etc. and serve as the primary point of contact for the client.
  • Prepare an estimate based on the project scope, the specifications, bid form and information available at proposal time.
  • Manage projects to spec and plan, execute the project plan, and manage work assignments of resources assigned to the project.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors or four-year degree equivalent or combination of technical training/related construction experience. Construction Management, Engineering or related degree preferred.
  • Experience reading and understanding blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time/cost/labor estimates for the projects and services with a heavy emphasis on estimating, construction knowledge, and project management.
  • Experience in the electrical industry and project management experience estimating within the commercial/industrial electrical construction industry.

Interns will learn how to estimate projects and scopes of work, work directly with vendors to purchase material and equipment, and support field foreman and customer needs through scheduling and site logistics management. Interns will have the opportunity to shadow project managers on various stages of the construction process from inception to construction, and final job closeout. As an Intern, you will be part of the team from day one and given training and tasks that are important and impactful to our projects’ success.   • Work with project managers to oversee schedules and milestone management
  • Coordinate with vendors to schedule and procure major material and equipment purchases
  • Learn and use project management software
  • Prepare and assist in project documentation
  • Document resource needs and availability
  • Organize and schedule team meetings
  • Identify project scope, risks, constraints, dependencies, assumptions, and deadlines
  • Keep track of the project costs
  • Provide consistent updates on the project to all stakeholders
  • Monitor project progress and help in adjustments

CAD/BIM Technicians are responsible for 2D and 3D drafting of electrical systems for the engineering and construction departments of The Morse Group.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Experience or formal training with Revit MEP drafting software
  • Create and maintain effective relationships with internal employees and upper management as well as customers, vendors, architects, subcontractors, etc.
  • Plan, review and update drafts and activities to ensure project completion in a timely manner

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors or four-year degree equivalent in electrical systems design
  • 1-2 years of CAD/BIM design experience
  • AutoCAD & Navisworks experience preferred
