Signature Warehouse

Milton, WI

Project Overview:

Signature Warehouse is a 101,000 sq. ft. truck-to-train intermodal warehouse. Morse Electric worked closely with the general contractor and owner to ensure the electrical infrastructure would support the facilities needs for years to come. The original design called for an 800A service. However, looking ahead at the rising popularity of electrical vehicles (requiring EV charging stations) and an anticipated expansion already on the horizon, Morse Electric proposed electrical design upgrades that would support increased power needs – saving both time and money for the customer down the road.

The Signature Warehouse project presented some unique challenges. One such challenge was the need for a dedicated pump room to house the fire prevention system. This large sprinkler system is powered by a 125 HP pump and fed from a series of risers. The system also utilizes several valves that require constant monitoring. Morse Electric worked closely with our fire alarm subcontractor and local inspectors to ensure the system was up to code and would provide adequate protection to the property and its contents. In the truck maintenance bay, the lighting system was designed to provide maximum light levels for technicians making repairs, and an exhaust evacuation system was installed to allow trucks to run indoors without causing air quality issues.
