Start your next project off on the right foot by taking advantage of BIM technology. The Morse Group’s BIM team is comprised of licensed electricians with vocational training and years of field experience along with technicians who received accredited degrees specifically for this technology. They are experts in current software platforms such as Revit, AutoCad, Navisworks, BIM 360, Revitzo, BlueBeam, Faro Scene, AGi32, Greenlee and Bendworks. Our BIM team also relies heavily on the expertise of our field foreman by collaborating on every project to ensure they are not only designed for accuracy and constructibility but also from a real-world construction point of view.

ADVANTAGES OF USING BIM FOR YOUR NEXT PROJECT 1

In addition to our knowledgeable team, BIM allows for better overall project control through better site logistics (using Point Layout), a more informed field staff, the ability to react to changes more fluidly, accurate crew control, and progress tracking (using Laser Scanning). The Revit is an engineering tool that serves as a guide throughout the entire construction process. If needed, the REVIT Model can be used to calculate loads, populate panel schedules, lighting schedules, and even provide a bill of material. It can shine light upon areas that could pose construction issues down the road and allow you to take corrective action early, saving money and valuable time in the schedule. Additionally, it allows for coordination between trades to forecast/avoid congestion in specific areas during installation and can be used to settle any space or sequence disputes between trades.

BIM also opens the door for prefabrication. A detailed model allows for prefabrication data to be extracted for everything from conduit runs, sleeves, to hangers, receptables and even entire electrical rooms! In addition to the commonly used prefabricated items, the BIM team will explore other opportunities that are specific to your project where prefab might offer both cost and time savings.
